Ministry of Justice of Ireland has granted planning permission for the development of Garda police station in Macroom. This station will be a divisional headquarter for Cork county. Garda police station will have three single-story buildings as well as a two-, three-, and four-storey buildings, which will have a public office, staff offices, conference facilities, staff support facilities, custody areas, plant and associated ancillary spaces along with a 60 space car park.
This project is part of Capital Investment Plan 2016-21 for An Garda Síochána. The project is expected to be constructed within two years.
