Oldham Council and Muse have submitted planning applications for six key sites as part of the Oldham Town Living regeneration project.
Muse and Oldham Council have completed plans for six key sites, aiming to bring high-quality housing, lively public areas, and dynamic commercial spaces to central Oldham. The sites — Prince’s Gate, the Former Magistrate’s Court, Former Manchester Chambers, Former Leisure Centre, Civic Centre, and Civic Tower — are central to a long-term strategy to build a vibrant, sustainable town centre that could deliver up to 2,000 new homes.
The project team has carefully reviewed and taken into account key themes raised—such as design, parking, traffic flow, accessibility, and safety. Spanning a 15-year partnership, the Oldham Town Living regeneration initiative aims to deliver up to 2,000 new homes throughout the town centre, revitalizing nearly 10 hectares of brownfield land.
