The United Utilities Water Ltd in the UK has issued Periodic Indicative Notice (PIN) for Wastewater Sludge Management Services in Cumbria and Lancashire. The authority has 30 000 dry tonnes of sludge in the region of Cumbria and Lancashire, the sludge includes primary sludge, secondary sludge, and co-settled sludge.
The scope of services we are interested in range from sludge pre-treatment and collection, processing, and management of residual solids. The services might include pre-treatment of sludge from their point of origin; collection and transportation for treatment; treatment of sludge and management of products, by-products and residual solids.
The authority is looking for ‘turn-key’ solutions, which include the provision of finance and operating services, alongside providing upfront design and build services.
The contract notice for the project is estimated to be published on January 29, 2021.
