Southern Water Services in Hampshire, UK has issued a prior information notice (PIN) to engage the market for its Water for Life Hampshire (WfLH) program. The authority will select a Competitively Appointed Provider (CAP) to deliver water supply infrastructure which will increase water resiliency in Hampshire, especially during dry weather and drought.
Several options for a solution are being explored, with a preferred option using water recycling and water transfer methods. The estimated investment value for the project is GBP459 million (US$620.87 million). The market engagement process will be launched on February 16, 2022, and will be carried out in different phases throughout the years 2022 and 2023. The estimated contract publication date is September 13, 2022.
