The Vegagerðin (Icelandic Road and Coastal Administration, IRCA) has issued a Prior Information Notice (PIN) to gather information from interested contractors for a 20 km two-lane road project.
The project will connect the intersection at Skriðdalur and Breiðdalsvegur to the connection at Berufjarðarbrú to Hringvegur in Reykjavík. The highest elevation of the road is about 520 meters above sea level. The selected private partner will be responsible for financing, designing, construction, maintenance, and supervision of the project for 30 years.
The estimated date of publication of the contract notice is June 01, 2022.
