PIN issued for Haweswater Aqueduct Resilience Programme
The United Utilities Water Limited (UUW) in Warrington, UK, has issued a prior information notice (PIN) for delivery of the Haweswater Aqueduct Resilience Programme (HARP) scheme.
Following the PIN, UUW will issue a contract notice utilizing Ofwat’s Direct Procurement for Customers (DPC) approach, selecting a Competitively Appointed Provider (CAP) to design, build, finance, and maintain (DBFM) this water resilience supply project.
The successful private partner will provide the following services for the project:
- Design, construction, testing and commissioning of the works;
- Planned and corrective maintenance, including lifecycle maintenance, of the assets following the completion of each section of the tunnel;
- Project management of the activities;
- Financing of the activities.
