The Edinburgh Council is committed to delivering a program to build at least 10,000 affordable homes by 2022 with a plan to build 20,000 by 2027. To fulfill this commitment the council issued a prior information notice (PIN) with an aim to engage developers, investors and landowners who have land, which the authority may be interested in purchasing, as well as developers who have completed homes on sites.
The PIN is focused to maximize opportunities for open and transparent dialogue to accelerate affordable homes program, identify more immediate opportunities, raise awareness and progress potential innovative solutions for accelerating the delivery of affordable homes.
The Council is planning to publish the contract notice for the program on March 07, 2022. More information about this PIN can be found here.
