The State Government of Piaui in Brazil is set to develop a 40 MW solar photovoltaic capacity under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.
The state government will be developing eight photovoltaic projects of 5 MW each capacity. The projects will represent a total of BRL 200 million (US$51.8 million ) total investment.
The projects are currently under public consultation. The government expects to hire four companies to develop solar plants through a competitive process that will be launched in September 2019.
