Philippines' Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has qualified another team for the 47-kilometer Cavite-Laguna Expressway public private partnership deal after beating the deadline for the submission of clarifications.
Alloy MTD Philippines, owned by Malaysia's second-largest toll-road operator, was qualified for the project last week after submitting documents for the construction experience requirement. Alloy MTD had been given three days from Nov. 4 to submit the clarification document to be able to join the bidding.
The other three groups qualified for the Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX) project are:
DPWH said the agency would hold one-on-one meetings with the pre-qualified bidders on Nov. 25 to 29 and Dec. 9 to 13. The submission of bids is tentatively set for January 20th, 2014.
CALAX is one of the DPWH pipelined projects earmarked for development under this administration, together with other highly important PPP projects.
