Peru to prepare concession for eight power transmission projects

Ministry of Energy and Mines of Peru has commissioned ProInversión, a private investment agency, to prepare and conduct a tender process for eight large-scale power transmission projects. The scope of works includes lines and substations, which are expected to be operational by 2026. These projects are part of the 2021-30 transmission plan, prepared by the Ministry of Peru. 

The concession will be organized for the following projects:

  • 500kV link Huánuco-Tocache-Celendín-Trujillo;
  • 500kV link Celendín-Piura;
  • 500 kV link San José-Yarabamba;
  • 220kV link Ica-Poroma;
  • 220 kV interconnection Piura Nueva-Colán;
  • 220kV interconnection Cáclic-Jaén Norte;
  • 220kv interconnection Belaunde Terry-Tarapoto;
  • 220kV interconnection of the Lambayeque Norte substation with the Chiclayo Oeste-La Niña/Felam line.
