The Agency for the Promotion of Private Investment (PROINVERSIÓN) along with the Ministry of Health (MINSA) has planned to bid again, through the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) modality, the sterilization and clinical pathology services (green coat), and general services (grey coat) of the San Borja National Institute of Child Health in Peru.
The private operator will be responsible for providing green coat services such as diagnosis, sterilization, and clinical pathology, as well as gray coat services including building maintenance, installation and electromechanical equipment maintenance, and upkeep of clinical and non-clinical equipment. Additionally, the operator will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of general services like laundry, food, and security.
The current PPP concession contract for the green and gray robe services is for 10 years and will expire in 2025. Through the new PPP contract, the Hospital Director can shift their focus from general and administrative tasks to clinical and care management. The new concession contract would be for 20 years.
