Peru's private investment promotion agency ProInversion last week presented its portfolio of infrastructure projects before the National Congress.
Proinversión's Executive Director Javier Illescas said four projects will be awarded before the end of the year. Those are the following:
These projects add up an estimated investment amount of US$6,437 million. Lima's metro line 2 concentrates a big part of this investment, having an estimated investment amount of around $US6 billion.
Mr. Illescas also said the agency expects to award other projects next year: Cusco - El Chinchero international airport concession, stretches 4 & 5 of Longitudinal de la Sierra highway, Amazonic waterway, Huancayo -Huancavelica railroad and the terrestrial broadband network for the integration of Amazonian region.
