The Regional Government of Cusco in Peru has presented a portfolio of 60 projects to be implemented using private finance, through the Works for Taxes mechanism. The investment commitment is expected to be more than PEN800 million (US$203.58 million).
The portfolio of projects was shown during the virtual event, which attracted the attention of representatives of various private companies. The prioritized projects are mainly concentrated on such sectors as education, transportation, tourism, sanitation, citizen security and health. In total, the initiative will benefit 13 provinces of Cusco.
Around 29 projects are in the education sector with a total investment of PEN255 million (US$64.9 million). The health projects focused on high social impact require an investment of PEN249 million (US$63.37 million).
