The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has received 19 responses to a Request for Information (RFI) concerning a potential public-private partnership (P3) project to develop, design, construct, implement, maintain and operate truck-parking facilities in the state, located in north-east USA.
The RFI was published in November 2018 seeking private-sector feedback on the project. The responses will assist PennDOT on an administrative level in the evaluation of delivery and procurement options and the further development of a financial plan for potential P3 procurement development.
The truck-parking facilities would serve commercial freight transportation needs, meeting increasing demand in Pennsylvania due to the state's central position between the large consumer markets of Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington D.C. Recent years have seen an upsurge in freight warehouses positioned along various points of delivery corridors running through the state and thus an increase in truck traffic.
The City and County of Denver will release a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for a development partner for The Triangle on 1 March 2019.
