The selection of the preferred bidder for the Route Centre Europe Atlantique road widening project in France is expected to be announced in November.
RCEA is a large East-West link that connects the Atlantic seaboard to the Rhone valley via Moulins and Mâcon, and beyond to Germany, Switzerland and Italy. It is one of the few roads that can be used to cross-connect in France and Europe. It also provides an important service function and contributes to the attractiveness of the territories it crosses by reinforcing the economic activities that are located there.
The tender launched for the expansion of RN-79 RCEA road ended in June 2018.
