The Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA) and Z Capital Group (ZCG) have announced a joint venture partnership by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a fund focused on infrastructure investments in Africa.
The collaboration between ZCG and NSIA is positioned to explore the continent's burgeoning investment opportunities. NSIA brings extensive experience in crucial sectors, with a demonstrated history of successfully executing large-scale infrastructure projects in Africa, leveraging strong relationships with stakeholders, valuable market insights, and robust pipelines for identifying investment prospects. ZCG contributes essential capabilities to bolster the effectiveness of this strategic partnership, drawing on its expertise in asset management and its capacity to implement a comprehensive investment strategy encompassing private equity and M&A. Key highlights of the MoU include Strategic Partnership, Shared Vision, Expertise Integration, Investment Commitment, and Sustainable Development.
In accordance with this MoU, ZCG and NSIA will explore equity, debt, and other hybrid financial instruments for investments in various sectors, including, but not limited to, healthcare, renewable energy, mobility and logistics, energy transition, climate-adaptive infrastructure, digital and social infrastructure, climate-smart agriculture, and green industrialization.
