The Ministry of Public Works in Paraguay has awarded the concession contract for the Monday bridge to the consortium of Constructora Heisecke SA and Construpar SA.
The 4.6 km long bridge will be built over the Monday river and will provide a second access road with an estimated investment of PYG132.75 billion (US$18.82 million). The bridge is part of Eastern Metropolitan Corridor which connects towns of Presidente Franco, Ciudad del Este, Los Cedrales, Minga Guazú and Hernandarias. This 31 km long 4-lane extension corridor will also provide a second connection to Paraguay-Brazil Integration Bridge located in Presidente Franco.
