The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey is seeking to prequalify firms to receive a future Request for Proposals for the fit-out and operation of the Central Hall at LaGuardia Airport. The project includes works on fit-out and operation of the Central Hall at LaGuardia Airport in Queens, New York. The Central Hall will feature a soaring 50-foot-high ceiling, glass walls providing stunning views of the airfield, and approximately 62,500 sq. ft. of premium interior space, significantly larger in scale than Vanderbilt Hall at Grand Central Terminal. The Central Hall is intended to become an iconic, compelling and architecturally significant interior space with premium dining, retail, meeting space, and other amenities of high appeal to LaGuardia’s 30 million annual passengers and 12,000 airport employees.
The Port Authority seeks a public-private partnership to provide creative vision, exceptional interior design, and innovative, world-class premium programming that will create a Central Hall that will serve as an illuminated and iconic beacon to millions of travelers at the airport, on the Grand Central Parkway and the public at large.
The deadline to submit the qualifications is August 29, 2019.
