The Ministry of Public Works (MOP) of Panama has carried out a virtual meeting with 12 interested construction companies for the development of the El Llano-Puerto Cartí Highway project. The authorities clarified all the relevant information in response to questions and comments made by the representatives of contractors.
Located in the province of Panama and Guna Yala Region, the road project has an estimated investment of PAB27.54 million (US$27.54 million). The selected company will be responsible for the Study, Design, Construction and Financing of the road project. The scope of works includes the rehabilitation and modernization of the region's road network with the aim to offer greater safety, accessibility, and integrate the population with the rest of the country.
With an approximate length of 38.7 km, the road project begins at the intersection of the Pan-American Highway with the entrance of El Llano, Chepo district and ends at the entrance of the Cartí port, in the Narganá district, in the Guna Yala region.
