The Government of Minas Gerais in Brazil has awarded the Pampulha airport concession to CCR Group, a partner of Zurich Airport. Under the concession, CCR will provide exploration, expansion, and maintenance services for the Pampulha airport - Carlos Drummond de Andrade located in Belo Horizonte.
CCR won the auction with a winning bid of BRL34 million (US$6.2 million), which is almost 245% premium than the original. The concession will provide operational efficiency and improvements in the general level of services provided at the airport and expand the capacity to generate revenues.
