The National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) of Colombia has developed the installation of a permanent technical table to determine actions and reach agreements that allow progress with the works of the Pamplona – Cúcuta project.
The toll-road project, part of the third wave of Colombia's 4G program, involves the upgrade and operation of a 62.2 km section of road in the north of the Department of Santander, connecting the cities of Pamplona and Cúcuta. ANI explained the purpose of the introduction of tolling, which is an alternative to tolling that allows the financing, operation and maintenance of major infrastructure works in the region and the country. In the process of dialogue between representatives of social platforms with ANI, the development of a study of technical characteristics by the inhabitants of Pamplonita was determined, which would allow them to jointly develop a viable proposal for the definition of a financial mechanism without jeopardizing both the development of the project and the welfare of the inhabitants.
Meetings to collect information will be held from March 6 to 10, information will be made public on March 14. In the near future, a dialogue will also take place to determine actions in the territory.
