The Ministry of Energy of Mali has awarded the Emirati renewables developer Pal 4 Énergie Solaire the development of a 100 MW solar photovoltaic plant that will be built in Diéma under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) scheme.

Pal 4 Énergie Solaire, an independent power producer (IPP) based in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), will operate the solar project under a 25-year concession period. The solar plant will supply energy from the city of Diéma to the capital Bamako through medium and high-voltage lines.

The construction of the project will take up to 14 months.
