The Government of Punjab in Pakistan has decided to abandon the public-private partnership (PPP) procurement model for the development of the Rawalpindi ring road. The project will be implemented using PC-I mode with resources provided by the government.
PPP procurement for Kharian-Dinga Road is also withdrawn from the public-private partnership portfolio. Two other transport projects, Multan-Vehari Road and Faisalabad-Chiniot-Sargodha Road, are approved to be implemented on the PPP model.
