The Government of Pakistan and the Republic of Korea have signed a US$1 billion Framework Arrangement for the financing of various infrastructure projects in Pakistan.
Under the arrangement, signed on June 09, 2022, the Republic of Korea will be responsible for providing long-term highly concessional financing up to US$ 1 billion for the implementation of various projects in Health, Communication, Agriculture and Energy sectors with a special focus on Information Technology.
The framework arrangement is valid from 2022 to 2026 and aims to support the economic policies and initiatives being pursued by the new government of Pakistan.
