Ministry of Public Works and Communications in Paraguay has announced that the asphalt paving works for the Ruta Bella Vista Norte to Puentesino stretch are in final stage. The authority expects to begin operations for the highway in mid of 2022. The 70 km highway will benefit approximately 25,000 residents by connecting Bella Vista Norte, Pastoril, Curusu Eva and José Félix López.

The project is being implemented in two lots, both of which have already achieved 100% financial completion. Undertaken by Constructora Isacio Vallejos SA (CIVSA), 35 km long Lot 1 is 106.51% complete with investment of PYG67.24 billion (US$9.41 million). 32.84 km long Lot 2 is 100% complete with investment of PYG60.63 billion (US$8.48 million). Construpar SA is in charge of Lot 2. The financial estimation overshoot is result of additional works which were not included in the initial contract.
