China Railway Construction Corporation (CRCC) has announced the start of operation for Huzhou-Hangzhou section of the Hefei-Hangzhou High-speed Railway line in Zhejiang province, China. The line was opened on September 22.
According to representatives from the construction authorities, it is a crucial support project for the forthcoming Asian Games in Hangzhou and is anticipated to increase the region's tourism potential and economic vitality.
The project involves the development of the 138km-long Huzhou section. The railway line section has 50 bridges with a total length of 81.8 kilometers, and 33 tunnels with a total length of 41.4 km. Six stations are located along the section: Huzhou, Deqing, Hangzhou West, Fuyang West, Tonglu East, and Tonglu.
