Vietnam government has started the operation of the Tan Hoa – Lo Gom (THLG) Canal Basin wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) with aerated lagoon and stabilization pond technology in Ho Chi Minh City.
The goal of the Tan Hoa-Lo Gom (THLG) Canal Sanitation project is to enhance the quality of life in the THLG basin by reducing pollution and promoting environmental and urban development aligned with economic and community growth. The primary purpose of the Canal's aerated lagoon and stabilization pond is to treat a significant volume of wastewater and sewage flowing through the canal, while also creating a recreational space with scenic water lagoons. The initial design capacity of the facility is 30,000 m3/day, with plans to expand it to 46,138 m3/day in the future.
