Ooredoo considers sale of its data center business in Indonesia

PT Indosat, Indonesian carrier unit of Ooredoo, is considering selling three data center facilities located in Jakarta and Jatilihur. The transaction is expected to fetch US$150 million to US$200 million. According to sources, Ooredoo is currently working with financial advisors to list potential sale of the infrastructure.

PT Indosat offers wireless services for mobile phones and broadband internet lines for homes in Indonesia. The company expects interest from infrastructure investors and global telecommunications companies.

Ooredooo is also in talks with CK Hutchison to consolidate their business in south-east Asia.
