The Connect 6ix consortium has achieved financial close on the CAD9 billion (US$6.72 billion) Ontario Line Rolling Stock, Systems, Operations and Maintenance (RSSOM) contract.
The Ontario Line with 15 stations, will run from Toronto’s southwestern downtown at Ontario Place to the Ontario Science Centre in the northeast. Ridership is estimated at up to 388,000 trips and expected to carry up to 388,000 passengers a day and provide more than 40 connections to bus, streetcar, light-rail transit and regional rail services.
