Infrastructure Ontario and ErinoakKids Centre for Treatment and Development have released a request for proposals to the three teams shortlisted to design, build and finance new children's treatment centres in Brampton, Mississauga and Oakville.
On July 26, 2013 Infrastructure Ontario and ErinoakKids Centre for Treatment and Development shortlisted three teams to design, build and finance the project. The following three companies - each including a designer, builder and financial advisor - have been invited to bid:
Peel-Halton PartnershipThe ErinoakKids Centre for Treatment and Development is the largest of Ontario's 21 children's treatment centres, treating more than 13,500 children and youth with disabilities each year in Peel, Halton and Dufferin. The three new facilities will allow ErinoakKids to consolidate programs and services from ten existing sites and will be purpose-built for children with disabilities and special needs. The largest facility will be approximately 120,000 square feet and will be located in Brampton, with the other two sites in Mississauga and Oakville, approximately 90,000 and 70,000 square feet respectively.
The new buildings are slated to open in early 2017.
