EllisDon has announced its withdrawal from the bidding process of the US$2 billion Halifax Infirmary Expansion project in Canada.

EllisDon was one of the two companies prequalified for the Halifax Infirmary Expansion project, however, the company withdrew its bid due to the unprecedented cost escalation, supply chain and labour productivity issues impacting the construction industry.

EllisDon, as part of the consortium EllisDon Infrastructure Healthcare, was one of the two firms prequalified for the redevelopment of the Halifax Infirmary. Plenary PCL Health now is the only remaining bidder for the project.
