The Ministry of Transport and Communications in Oman has launched a feasibility study of introducing toll collection systems on certain carriageways aimed at attracting private investment in the development of a smart road system in the Sultanate.
The plan is in line with the Omani government’s strategic goal to strengthen road communications thereby enhancing the Sultanate’s global rankings as a logistics-friendly destination.
