ASYAD in Oman has launched a request for expression of interest (RFEOI) for the expansion of the existing Suwaiq port and the development of additional infrastructure facilities. The aim is to convert the port into a deepsea port with a multipurpose terminal.
The private partner will be responsible for the development of a reclaimed area, breakwaters, berths, and supporting infrastructure which will enable the port to receive mega-ships and handle 10 million tonnes of general, liquid, and loose cargo annually.
