Tatweer Buildings Company (TBC) consortium, comprising Vision Invest, Al Omran Group and SNC-Lavalin, in conjunction with Saudi Ministry of Education (MoE) has awarded the facilities management (FM) services contract to SNC-Lavalin for Wave 2 school bundle concession in Madinah, Saudi Arabia.
SNC-Lavalin will be responsible for the provision of integrated facilities management services, grounds maintenance and lifecycle management of the schools. SNC-Lavalin has appointed a Canadian engineering group to provide management services and develop processes supported by a Computer-Aided Facilities Management system (CAFM) and a virtual FM helpdesk mobile application that will be easily accessed in real-time by the school administration team to enable timely and effective reactive maintenance.
The Wave 2 School project is a public-private partnership (PPP) scheme that involves the financing, design, building, and facility management of 60 public schools in Medina, western Saudi Arabia, for a duration of 20 years.
