Oaktree Capital Management has closed its Transportation Infrastructure Fund at US$1.1 billion. The fund is focused on investments in the US transportation sector, the first and only fund to do so.
Oaktree's earnings report detailed that the firm's assets under management increased by US$0.2 billion from Q1 to Q2 2018. Oaktree has attributed this primarily to new capital commitments to the Oaktree Transportation Infrastructure Fund and also the Oaktree Special Situations Fund II, which amount to US$2.4 billion altogether.
The fund achieved its first close in April at US$282 million.
