Notice for RFQ launched for Green Line stage 1 light rail transit (LRT) project in Calgary

The City of Calgary in Canada has launched a Notice of Proposed Procurement for the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) seeking private partner for the Green Line stage 1 light rail transit (LRT) project.

Stage 1 of LRT will connect 16 Avenue N in Crescent Heights to 126 Avenue SE in Shepard, running through downtown Calgary. The private partner will be responsible for the design, build, and finance of an 18 km-long LRT track. The project also includes 13 stations as well as four underground stations in downtown and two elevated stations in the southeast, a tunnel in downtown, bridges, sections of elevated track, park and ride facilities, and a new LRV maintenance and storage facility.

This NPP is issued to advise potential suppliers that the request for qualification will be issued on March 31, 2022, to prequalify suppliers for the upcoming RFP. More information can be found here
