The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) has received nine bids to improve 325.2 km of the national road network in the Eastern and Western regions of Paraguay.
The proposals, submitted by five consortia and four independent companies, range from PYG 102 billion (US$ 13 million) to PYG 194 billion (US$ 25 million).

In total, 18 companies are involved in this tender, considering both the companies that submitted their bids independently and those that are part of consortia. The contract, with a duration of 18 months, is divided into 12 months for rehabilitation and 6 for maintenance. The works are financed by the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF) as part of the “Program for the Improvement of Integration Corridors and Road Reconstruction.
