The proposed development of the Orange Line (West) Mass Rapid Transit project of Thailand has received interest from nine companies and consortia.
The Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand will develop the Orange Line (West) MRT project for an estimated cost of about THB200 billion (US$6.34 billion).
The nine companies that have expressed interest are the Bangkok Expressway and Metro, Bangkok Mass Transit System, BTS Group Holding, Sino-Thai Engineering and Construction, Italian-Thai Development, Ratch Group, Chor Karnchang (CK), Gulf Energy Development and Sinohydro Corp.
The proposals must be submitted by September 23, 2020.
The project is targetted for commissioning in 2023 for the Thailand Cultural Centre-Min Buri section and by 2025 for Thailand Cultural Centre-Bang Khun Non.
