The Federal Government restated its commitment to stablish a new national carrier by December 2018. Hadi Sirika, The Minister of State for Aviation disclosed the information while unveiling the airline to investors at the Farnborough
International Air Show.

A way to notice how far the project had gone was the presentation of the certificate. The airline is expected to reach US$8.8 million preliminary cost and US$300 million as take-off cost.

As the project will be developed following a public-private partnership, the Nigerian government is not fully funding the airline.
