The Federal Fire Service (FFS) of Nigeria has issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the financing, upgrading, rehabilitatation, operation and maintenance of a National Fire Data Repository Center (NFDRC) Enterprise Unit.

The FFS established the NFDRC in 2012 to provide a platform for the implementation and provision of value-added services to enhance revenue generation. The Call and Response System feature of the NFDRC, which sends one-way messages to inform the FFS and the public of an emergency, is designed to ensure speedy detection and rapid response to fire emergencies in Nigeria.

The submission deadline for the RFQ is 11 January 2019. Qualified parties will be invited to respond to a subsequent Request for Proposals (RFP).
