Jacobs has been selected as a design consultant for Northern Ireland Water's (NI Water) Major Project Partnership Framework that will deliver large water and wastewater infrastructure projects across Northern Ireland.

The framework involves upgrades to major water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations and network mains. One of the first projects to be delivered will be substantial upgrades at Belfast Wastewater Treatment Works to expand capacity, which are expected to commence in 2022. The framework will run for 4 years, with an option to extend for an additional four.

NI Water provides water and sewerage services to around 840,000 households and businesses in Northern Ireland.
