New York Life Investments has announced the launch of the MainStay CBRE Global Infrastructure Megatrends Fund through a strategic partnership with CBRE Investment Management.
The fund raised US$1 billion in its common share offering with Morgan Stanley, BoA Securities, Raymond James and Wells Fargo acting as lead underwriters. New York Life Investment Management LLC serves as the manager of the Fund and CBRE Investment Management Listed Real Assets LLC serves as the subadvisor.
The MainStay CBRE Global Infrastructure Megatrends Fund is a non-diversified, closed-end fund with the aim to provide a high level of total return. The fund will invest primarily in income-producing equity securities issued by infrastructure companies. The prefered portfolio for investment includes three infrastructure megatrends such as decarbonization, digital transformation and asset modernization.
