The National Transport Authority (NTA) and Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) have released a preferred route for the Swords-Sandyford metro railway project in Dublin, Ireland.

The authority has chosen to only extend southbound up to Charlemont. The new plan covers the development of a section from Swords to Charlemont with an interchange from Metro to Luas at Charlemont.

With the recent preferred route, the acquisition of pitches belonging to Na Fianna GAA club in Glasnevin will no longer be required.
