The Montreal Port Authority has announced two information sessions for the Contrecoeur expansion PPP project in Canada. With a total estimated cost of CAD950 million (US$745.65 million), the new terminal will have the capacity to handle 1.15 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs).
The first one is an information session for the request for qualification (RFQ), which is planned to launch at the end of November. The PPP project will be procured using a Design-Build-Finance-Operate-Manage (DBFOM) model. The virtual event will take place on November 10, 2021. More information can be found here.
In addition, the Market Notice has been issued to provide an overview of key components of the Contrecoeur terminal expansion project. The document includes information with respect to certain technical and commercial elements of the project, as well as an update on the timeline and next steps of the procurement process.
