S2G Ventures (S2G) has announced the launch of a US$300 million Special Opportunities fund to provide flexible financing for companies focused on creating positive long-term social and environmental impact.
S2G's Special Opportunities fund collaborates with companies to identify financing solutions that cater to their individual requirements. The fund offers flexibility concerning risk profile, tenor, and structure and facilitates the firm's investment across the capital spectrum through debt, equity, or hybrid investments. Its focus is on businesses with assets, cashflows, contracts, or leases that provide protection against potential losses. Moreover, the Special Opportunities fund allows S2G to aid more established companies in their expansion journey by providing them with a cost-effective capital solution that matches their risk profile.
S2G has utilized its fund to make 6 investments, including Circulus, a recycler of low-density polyethylene that converts plastic waste into post-consumer resins for commercial and industrial purposes. Another investment is in Service 1st Financial, a fintech, innovation, and training company that is revolutionizing home comfort.
