The Government of Romania has announced its intent to start negotiations with the sole remaining bidder for construction and operation of Ploiesti-Comarnic-Brasov motorway PPP project estimated at EUR1.36 billion.
Out of five bidders, four backed out from participating in the tender leaving Chinese-Turkish consortium the sole bidder for the development of the motorway project. The consortium consists of China Communications Construction Company Ltd (China) and Makyol Insaat Sanayi Turizm (Turkey).
China Communications Construction Company is Asia´s largest international contractor and it was involved in the world longest bridge project.
