The National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) awarded the supervision of the Rafael Núñez Airport to the Aéreo GEA consortium, made up of the firms GOC Ingeniería and Ardanuy Surcursal Colombia in Cartagena, Colombia.
This audit holds a value of COP24 billion (USD 6 million). With the new Infrastructure Project (IP) for the Rafael Núñez airport, overseen by this audit, the air terminal will undergo expansion and remodeling, ensuring its operation and maintenance for the next 8.5 years. The objective of the awarded audit is to monitor various aspects of the contract, including technical, economic, financial, accounting, legal, social, property, environmental, network, administrative, insurance, risk, operational, maintenance, security, and quality management. It is noteworthy that the Cartagena airport works, subject to this audit, encompass the construction of a new 17,360 m2 terminal building and the refurbishment of 2,814 m2 of the existing terminal. The comprehensive intervention also involves expanding the commercial platform by 15,740 m2, reaching a total of 99,770 m2, developing 11,683 m2 for parking accommodating 330 vehicles, installing 5 boarding bridges, and constructing a parallel runway road for optimized operation.
