The National Highway Authority (NHA) of Pakistan has launched a Request for Proposals (RFP) for interested firms to deliver a feasibility (technical and commercial) study and detailed designs for the upgrade of the Karachi Northern Bypass through a public-private partnership (PPP).
The bypass is a key access route for freight traffic originating from or bound towards Karachi Port. NHA intends for the road to be upgraded to a controlled-access multi-lane dual carriageway, in order to efficiently evacuate port/freight traffic in the shortest possible time, with least impact to non-freight/local traffic.
Proposals are invited from reputable consultants and /or engineering firms until 19 February 2019. For more information, see the Business Opportunity.
