São Miguel do Iguaçu, a municipality in the state of Paraná (southern Region of Brazil), has recently announced that it has published a bidding process for the concession of the municipality solid waste services on a public private partnership basis.
The selected private party will be responsible for the waste disposal and treatment (by using plasma technology) of the municipal solid waste and other non-recyclable waste within the municipality.
The concession has a total estimated value of R$44.981.417,50 (US$12,5 million) and it will have a duration of 30 years.
The deadline for the submissions of proposals is June 28, 2016.
