The Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing Association (MTVH) has selected Countryside as the preferred bidder with whom they will form a joint venture (JV) partnership to deliver the remaining parts of the Clapham Park regeneration project in the UK. The award follows an 18-month tender process supported by Arcadis and Devonshires.

The project will deliver at least 2,482 high-quality homes across 17 sites, of which 53% will be affordable housing. The project includes family homes, one and two-bedroom apartments as well as a community center, a market square, two parks, commercial and retail space and a district heating system. The homes will feature green and solar roofs.

The joint venture partnership will make an initial investment of GBP1million (US$1.36 million) in placemaking and community development initiatives. Once completed, the Clapham Park project will span 36 hectares and will have a total of over 4,000 homes. Works are expected to start in spring 2022 with first completions in 2024.
